Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Regional Risk Analyst Intern to support country-focused security risk analysis in high‑risk environments. The role emphasizes data-heavy, mapping-driven work to aid diplomatic missions, humanitarian actors, and international partners with timely risk intelligence.

You will assist senior analysts, maintain incident databases, and contribute to weekly and monthly risk products. This hands-on internship offers exposure to OSINT, geospatial mapping, and incident reporting

Qualifications

• Current or recent graduate in security studies, international relations, conflict studies, geography, or similar.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with incident data and mapping.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within structured deadlines.
• Proficiency in research, data collection, and information management, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Track and log security incidents daily across Haiti and Sudan, including armed conflict, crime, civil unrest, and hazards.
• Plot incidents in Google Earth and upload layers to Google My Maps; hyperlink maps in analytical products.
• Maintain structured incident databases optimized for Power BI ingestion and ensure timely updates.
• Contribute to country-specific visuals and weekly/monthly risk products.
• Support development of risk analysis reports focusing on operational and tactical risk.
