Job summary

Via Medica International Healthcare in Al Ain is seeking a Medical Coder cum Insurance Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The role involves accurate medical coding, insurance claims processing, billing coordination, and regulatory compliance to ensure timely reimbursement and adherence to UAE healthcare standards.

It is an on-site position at the university clinic reporting to the office as required. The candidate should have 3–5 years of medical coding experience, AAPC CPC certification,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Health Information Management or related healthcare field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Medical Coder in a hospital or clinic.
• AAPC CPC certification is mandatory.
• ICD-10-AM coding certification is required.
• BLS certification current.
• Infection control certification required.
• Strong knowledge of UAE health insurance regulations and claims processes.

Responsibilities

• Assign accurate medical codes using ICD-10-AM, CPT, and other coding standards.
• Prepare, submit, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims via eClaimLink, Daman, Thiqa, and other Abu Dhabi providers.
• Coordinate with insurers on approvals, rejections, resubmissions, and reimbursements.
• Maintain confidential billing records and EHR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and front desk staff to ensure accurate documentation.
• Review documentation for coding accuracy and compliance with insurance requirements.
• Assist in applying for insurance network participation when needed.
• Generate periodic reports for clinic leadership and corporate departments.
• Ensure compliance with DOH, MOH, NRC/IAEA requirements and internal policies.
• Support internal quality audits and regulatory inspections.
