Job summary

Viola Communications in Dubai is seeking an experienced Bilingual Media Relations Executive (Arabic / English) to build strong media relationships across the UAE and wider region. Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on media relations experience in the UAE.
• Established network of media contacts across Arabic and English-language media in the UAE and wider region.
• Fluency in Arabic and English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with journalists, editors, and key media contacts across the UAE and wider region.
• Proactively identify relevant media opportunities and pitch stories, interviews, features, and opinion pieces.
• Secure meaningful media coverage aligned with client communications objectives and priorities.
• Manage the monthly media interview calendar and coordinate interviews, briefings, and media engagements.
• Support spokesperson preparation ahead of interviews and other media opportunities.
• Manage media coordination at press conferences, events, briefings, and other client activations.
• Respond to media enquiries and coordinate effectively between journalists, clients, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date media databases, contact lists, and coverage logs.
• Monitor the media landscape and identify relevant journalists, publications, topics, and emerging opportunities for clients.

Viola Communications is seeking an experienced and highly connected Bilingual Media Relations Executive (Arabic / English) to join our Public Relations unit. This role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media professionals across the UAE and wider region, while supporting the delivery of proactive media relations programmes for our clients. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on UAE media relations experience, an established network across Arabic and English-language media, and the confidence to engage directly with journalists and secure meaningful media opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with journalists, editors, and key media contacts across the UAE and wider region.
• Proactively identify relevant media opportunities and pitch stories, interviews, features, and opinion pieces.

• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on media relations experience in the UAE.
• An established network of media contacts across Arabic and English-language media in the UAE and wider region.
• Demonstrated experience proactively pitching stories and securing interviews, features, opinion pieces, and other earned media opportunities.
• Strong understanding of the UAE and regional media landscape.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident engaging directly with journalists, editors, and senior media professionals, both over the phone and in person.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple media opportunities simultaneously.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced agency environment.
