Talentac in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Technician/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on construction machinery. You will inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems and powertrain components, with on-site troubleshooting when needed.
Applicants should have an ITI, Diploma, or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and 1–5 years of relevant experience, plus the ability to work both in a workshop and at customer sites in the UAE.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of construction equipment and machinery. Inspect equipment to identify mechanical faults, wear, damage and potential breakdowns. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems in heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery. Perform servicing, repair, dismantling and reassembly of engines and mechanical components. Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of diesel engines, generators, pumps and construction equipment. Inspect and maintain mechanical components including transmissions, gearboxes, drive systems, cooling systems and braking systems. Assist with major repairs, engine overhauls and equipment refurbishment. Carry out equipment inspections before and after rental deployment. Ensure machinery is mechanically fit, safe and ready for delivery to customer sites. Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out on-site troubleshooting and repairs when required. Maintain proper records of inspections, servicing, repairs and replacement of components. Coordinate with workshop supervisors and operations teams regarding equipment availability and repair requirements. Follow manufacturer maintenance procedures and recommended service intervals. Maintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas in safe and operational condition. Comply with company HSE procedures and customer/site safety requirements.
ITI, Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Trade or equivalent. Minimum 1–5 years of hands‑on experience as a Mechanical Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Previous experience working on CICPA-controlled sites/projects is preferred. Strong experience in construction equipment and diesel engine maintenance. Experience with equipment such as excavators, loaders, forklifts, generators, compressors, cranes, telehandlers, rollers or other heavy machinery will be an advantage. Experience in construction equipment rental, heavy equipment maintenance, construction or industrial machinery is preferred. Good knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, servicing and preventive maintenance. Experience with hydraulic systems and basic electrical troubleshooting will be an advantage. UAE/GCC experience will be an advantage. Ability to work in a workshop as well as at customer/project sites.

Working days and hours : Monday to Saturday (9 hrs/day) 8:30 until 17:30 (Flexible for Overtime (OT) on Sunday) Location:Candidate should be currently in Dubai, UAE or willing to relocate while being in within UAE.
