Job summary

Job description

Required to join an international contractors in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will responsible for developing, integrating, and validating the mechanical elements of tender programmes for oil and gas projects. The role converts tender requirements, drawings, BOQs, quantities, construction methodology, procurement lead times, subcontract inputs, and commissioning constraints into a logical, resource-aware programme that supports the technical and commercial submission.

Applicants should meet the following criteria

• A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 12 years of EPC planning experience, with significant exposure to oil and gas, petrochemical, LNG, process plant, pipeline, or industrial mechanical works working for a Tier 1 EPC Contractor.
• Strong practical understanding of mechanical construction sequencing, piping fabrication and erection, equipment installation, hydrotesting, reinstatement, preservation, mechanical completion, and handover commissioning.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, schedule logic development, critical path analysis, resource loading, progress measurement principles, and tender schedule reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, equipment lists, plot plans, piping deliverables, construction methodology, employer requirements, and contract milestones.
• The Ability to plan and schedules the works from first principles. Typical inputs being FEED or detailed engineering designs, measured quantiles, production rates, prior company historical records, market input and other variables required to complete schedule
• The candidate ideally will have worked with a global Tier 1 EPC Contractor with a proven history of preparing work winning tender schedules that were executed to meet company business plan objectives. The role requires someone who can work under tender deadlines, challenge unrealistic assumptions, coordinate across disciplines, and present programme logic in a clear, commercially aware, and claim-safe manner.
