Job summary

Al Futtaim Engineering seeks an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to lead MEP execution on large commercial projects in Dubai. You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting installations from the basement plant room to the roof.

Responsibilities include supervising mechanical subcontractors, hydro-testing pipelines, coordinating air balancing for AHUs/FCUs, and raising IRs with the consultant. You must ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence safety codes.

Qualifications

• Fully attested Mechanical Engineering degree is required.
• Active SOE card is required.
• At least 4 years of solid UAE MEP contracting experience.

• Manage the daily site activities of mechanical subcontractors, ensuring all pipe and duct installations follow the approved shop drawings.
• Conduct hydro-testing on chilled water lines and coordinate air balancing for all AHUs and FCUs.
• Raise official Inspection Requests (IRs) and walk the site with the main consultant to get the work approved.
• Ensure all mechanical installations comply strictly with Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence safety codes.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Qualifications: Fully attested Mechanical Engineering Degree and an active Society of Engineers (SOE) card.
• Experience: At least 4 years of solid MEP contracting experience inside the UAE.
• Papers: Must have a valid UAE driving license and a transferable visa.
