Job summary

SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. seeks a Maintenance Site Inspector to undertake and document routine inspections ensuring subcontracted works meet scope and contractual requirements.

The role involves monitoring day-to-day activities of contracted staff, overseeing safety, quality checks, and coordinating with engineers to resolve issues. Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience; healthcare facility experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring day to day activities of sub contracted works and staff
• Undertaking and documenting routine site inspections to ensure that the maintenance and sub-contracted work is carried out as per the specified scope of work and contractual requirement
• Managing the day-to-day performance of the contractors
• Assisting (where directed) in the execution of works undertaken by external contractors and consultancy personal
• Carrying out site visits and inspections as required
• Supervising and monitoring site labor force and monitoring the work of outsourced firms
• Reviewing work schedules of subcontracted staff to ensuring that there is appropriate coverage of preventative and routine maintenance
• Directly overseeing minor projects works
• Communicating
• Responding in a timely manner to issues that are outside of routine operations and raising them to the appropriate leaders
• Suggesting solutions to issues or problems and seeking appropriate authorization to proceed
• Relaying information to the end user as appropriate related to preventative, routine or problem resolution activities
• Relaying information to subcontracted staff as directed by Engineer
• Ensuring quality and inspection checks
• Ensuring workshops are kept safe and tidy and related staff are adhering to safety and departmental policies and procedures
• Carrying out quality assurance checks
• Ensuring works are carried with minimum disruption and inconvenience to patient and staff
• Regularly inspecting new construction and facility projects
• Ensuring all activities are in line with SEHA’s policies and procedures
• Overseeing quality control and safety matters and ensures regulations are adhered to
• Inspecting the facility areas on regular basis to make sure that all the services are properly maintained
• Conducting regular tests
• Designing and conducting necessary site tests
• Recording, analyzing and interpreting test data, proposing modifications and re - testing products as necessary
• Conducting installation, troubleshooting and shut down of relevant equipment in accordance with SEHA safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise, and escalating it to the Engineer when appropriate
• Preparing audit reports as necessary
• Monitoring performance of existing equipment and systems so as to improve on future design recommendations
• Contributing to the team effort Participating in all team efforts as required
• Collaborating with other members of the team to carry out work smoothly
