Job summary

Morgan Consulting Engineers is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join our project team in the UAE. The role focuses on on-site inspection of mechanical works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems and a solid QA/QC foundation. You will review submittals, coordinate with site engineers and contractors, maintain inspection records, and support testing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector, preferably within an engineering consultancy or contracting company.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting.
• Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and regulations.
• Good understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to use relevant engineering tools/software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor mechanical works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes/standards.
• Conduct inspections for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
• Review material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests to ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, test reports, and site observations.
• Verify that mechanical installations meet safety and quality requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities of mechanical systems.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with project QA/QC procedures.
• Report non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by the Project/Construction Manager.
