Job summary

AESG is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Design engineer to deliver safe, durable, and high-performance mechanical designs for projects in the UAE. You will integrate water-saving technologies and energy-efficient systems while ensuring compliance with local codes and client briefs.

You will contribute to project delivery, develop HVAC and ventilation systems, and produce reports and studies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Membership of a professional institution (CIBSE, ASHRAE, IMechE or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Mechanical Building Services Design.
• Strong knowledge of local UAE / GCC codes and regulations related to Mechanical system design.
• Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, HAP, IES Virtual Environment, Hevacomp.

Responsibilities

• Undertake mechanical engineering calculations and system design from concept through detailed design.
• Develop designs for HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, and smoke management systems.
• Produce technical reports, calculations and engineering studies.
• Support equipment selection and system sizing.
• Develop energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with project briefs and client requirements.
• Deliver mechanical design packages in line with project programmes.
• Coordinate design activities with stakeholders and attend meetings.
• Participate in value engineering and technical reviews.
