Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UAE is looking for a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer specialized in building services. You will oversee mechanical design delivery, ensuring compliance with international codes and driving sustainable solutions. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chartered Engineer status, and 10-15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in the Middle East, with excellent client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of mechanical building services design experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of regional codes and authority approvals.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and UAE authority requirements.
• Drive sustainable mechanical solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables.
• Support project delivery from concept to commissioning.
