Job summary

Progressive GE in Dubai, UAE, seeks a Mechanical Design Draftsman for a full-time, office-based role. The package includes a total monthly remuneration of AED 14-16K, visa, medical insurance, annual flight ticket, and bonus.

Long-term appointment with a focus on detailed shop fabrication drawings and storage-tank related projects. Candidates should have 8-15 years in mechanical design drafting, with oil & gas, mining, or construction exposure, and strong SolidWorks/AutoCAD/PDM skills to deliver

Qualifications

• 8-15 years total career experience specialising in mechanical design drafting.
• Experience in oil and gas, mining, construction related fields.
• Familiar with storage tanks and producing shop fabrication detail drawings.
• Ability to manage engineering drawing production from start to finish per codes and client specs.
• Team player with proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Required Profile

• 8-15 years total career experience (in total) specialising in mechanical design draughtsman / draftsman works.
• Experience in oil and gas, mining, construction related fields.
• Understanding of fuel dispensing systems; such as storage tanks, with experience in producing shop fabrication detail drawings.
• Ability to handle the engineering drawing production, from start to finish ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, client specifications.
• Team player with an proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Software Expertise: Highly proficient user with SolidWorks / PDM use (Version 2020 - SP5 minimum) and AutoCAD
