Job summary

Trinity Mechanical Services in Dubai is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to support product development and reverse engineering of mechanical components and assemblies.

You will prepare design inputs, create 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors while ensuring quality and adherence to GD&T tolerances.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Experience with CAD for 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Understanding GD&T tolerances and projections.
• Familiarity with data gathering and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

Role amp responsibilities

• Preparation and compilation of data on design inputs like pre-inspection reports


• customer requirements amp fitment with mating parts


• Assist with inspection and measurement of components to be reverse engineered


• Support quality control and perform site inspections when needed


• Developing designs 3D models amp 2D drawings of parts and assemblies based on design inputs


• Coordinate with internal departments for data gathering and sharing


• Follow up with vendors for 3D scanned data as required


• Comply with engineering standards and procedures


• Liaise with salespersons to get drawing approvals from customers if required


• Updating engineering drawings in-case of corrections or changes in design input


• Ensure proper document revision controls for design output

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience working in product development or reverse engineering for mechanical components amp assemblies


• Basic understanding of engineering principles and knowledge of mechanical equipment like gearboxes rotors material handling equipment etc


• Proficient at reading and understanding precision machining amp fabrication drawings along with GD amp T tolerances views and projections


• Proficient in using CAD software AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to develop 3D models assemblies and manufacturing drawings

• Other software skills required include experience using Microsoft Outlook Word Excel amp Powerpoint
