Job summary

Infinity Developments is seeking a Materials Specifications & FF&E Specialist in Dubai to lead development, coordination, and control of materials, finishes, and workmanship standards, ensuring design intent, quality, constructability, and cost targets align across disciplines.

The role acts as single technical authority from concept through handover, coordinating with procurement and QS, approving samples, mock-ups, and vendor lists; strong technical writing and on-site authority required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8–15+ years experience in luxury fit-out, hospitality/high-end residential.
• Proven experience with technical specifications and FF&E may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage full technical specifications for specialist works (facades, waterproofing, acoustic systems, lighting, smart systems).
• Establish quality benchmarks, testing and inspection requirements; enforce standards.
• Coordinate with procurement and QS teams; act as the technical reference for manuals, samples, mock-ups and substitutions.

The Materials Specifications & FF&E Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and controlling all specifications, materials, finishes, and workmanship standards.

This role ensures that design intent, quality standards, constructability, cost control, and long-term performance are fully aligned across all disciplines.

The position acts as the single technical authority for materials and specifications from concept through handover.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Technical Specifications
  • Prepare and manage full technical specifications for:
  • Specialist works (facades, waterproofing, acoustic systems, lighting, smart systems)
  • Ensure specifications are:
  • Clear, enforceable, and construction-ready
  • Aligned with drawings, BOQs, and contracts
  • Compliant with local and international standards
  • Define and approve:
  • Mock-ups and samples
  • Build and maintain:
  • Approved vendor lists
  • Availability and lead times
• 3. Quality & Compliance
  • Establish and enforce:
  • Quality benchmarks
  • Testing and inspection requirements
  • Resolve technical conflicts between:
• 5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate with:
  • Procurement and QS teams
  • Act as the technical reference point for:
  • Full technical specification manuals
  • Sample boards and mock-up approvals
