Job summary

Azizi Developments, a Dubai-based developer, seeks a seasoned Material Manager to lead planning, procurement and control of materials for infrastructure projects across the UAE. The role ensures on-time delivery, adherence to specifications and budget, while minimizing stock losses and supply-chain risks.

You will manage stores, coordinate with procurement and project teams, and uphold HSE standards across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 10+ years in material management, procurement or supply chain within construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience on infrastructure projects in the UAE (roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, sewerage or site infrastructure).
• Proficiency in ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent) and MS Excel.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management and cost control skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material requirement schedules from BOQs, drawings and the project programme.
• Forecast quantities and delivery timelines for bulk materials.
• Align material planning with the construction programme with Planning and Project teams.
• Coordinate with Procurement to source, evaluate and approve suppliers and subcontractors.
• Raise and track material requests, purchase orders and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delays, shortages and quality issues.
• Ensure materials comply with project specifications and authority requirements (RTA, DEWA, etc.).
• Oversee site stores, yards and laydown areas and maintain stock records.
• Plan logistics for heavy and bulk deliveries and manage access permits.
• Lead and develop storekeepers, material coordinators and logistics staff.
• Enforce HSE standards in material handling, storage and transport.

This position is with Royal Infra Contracting LLC, the infrastructure arm of Azizi Developments, which delivers roads, utilities, MEP networks and earthworks across the group's developments in the UAE.

As a Material Manager, you will be responsible for planning, procuring, controlling and delivering all materials required for infrastructure projects, from roads, bridges and utilities to drainage, earthworks and site development. The role ensures materials reach site on time, to specification and within budget, while keeping wastage, idle stock and supply-chain risk to a minimum.

Responsibility

• Prepare material requirement schedules from BOQs, drawings, specifications and the project programme
• Forecast quantities and delivery timelines for bulk materials (aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, rebar, pipes, precast elements, cables, ducts and road furniture)
• Align material planning with the construction programme in coordination with the Planning and Project teams
• Coordinate with Procurement to source, evaluate and approve suppliers and subcontractors
• Raise and track material requests, purchase orders and delivery schedules
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delays, shortages and quality issues
• Manage material submittals and approvals with the Consultant and Client
• Ensure materials comply with project specifications and the requirements of authorities such as RTA, DEWA, Dubai Municipality and Etisalat/du
• Oversee site stores, yards and laydown areas; maintain accurate stock records
• Implement controls on material receipt, issue, transfer and returns
• Plan logistics for heavy and bulk deliveries, including access permits and traffic coordination
• Reduce wastage, theft and surplus through regular stock audits and reconciliation
• Track material costs against budget and flag variances early
• Reconcile material consumption against work progress and quantities installed
• Lead and develop storekeepers, material coordinators and logistics staff
• Enforce HSE standards in material handling, storage and transport

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 10+ years in material management, procurement or supply chain within construction, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
