Job summary

Samsons Group of Companies in Dubai seeks a proactive Material Planning Executive to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw and packaging materials, aligning with production plans and optimizing inventory.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Production Planning and Sales to develop short, medium, and long-term material plans, monitor stock levels, generate requisitions, and drive S&OP insights using Odoo ERP, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field and 4–5 years of planning experience.
• Experience in FMCG is required; tobacco industry is a plus.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems and inventory optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain raw material and packaging material requirements based on production plans.
• Create short, medium and long-term material plans to ensure continuous production.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock coverage while minimizing excess/obsolete stock.
• Generate purchase requisitions and coordinate with Procurement for timely material availability.
• Track supplier deliveries and identify potential shortages or delays.
• Collaborate with Production Planning to align material availability with schedules.
• Analyze material consumption trends and propose optimization initiatives.
• Monitor slow-moving/obsolete materials and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly planning reports and KPIs.
• Support S&OP by providing material planning insights.
• Maintain planning master data and ensure ERP accuracy.

Job description

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Material Planning Executive to join our Business Planning team in Dubai This role is responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted availability of Raw Materials and Packaging Materials required to support production plans while maintaining optimum inventory levels The successful candidate will work closely with Production Planning Procurement Supply Chain Manufacturing and Commercial teams to develop accurate material plans monitor inventory and drive planning excellence across the business

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Raw Material and Packaging Material requirements based on production plans and demand forecasts
• Create short medium and long-term material plans to ensure continuous production
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain agreed stock coverage while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
• Generate purchase requisitions and coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely material availability
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively identify potential shortages or delays
• Collaborate with Production Planning to align material availability with manufacturing schedules
• Analyse material consumption trends and recommend inventory optimization initiatives
• Monitor slow-moving excess and obsolete materials and propose corrective actions
• Prepare daily weekly and monthly planning reports and KPIs
• Support S OP Sales Operations Planning activities by providing material planning insights
• Maintain planning master data and ensure planning accuracy within ERP systems
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and reporting

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in Raw Material and Packaging Material Planning.
• Experience within the FMCG industry is required.
• Experience in the Tobacco industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, and Production Planning.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Odoo).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Dashboards).
• Experience using Power BI is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset.

Language Requirements

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Urdu language is a strong advantage.
