Job summary

Al Tariq in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design, development and industrialization of UAV manufacturing processes. You will drive manufacturability, safety, and regulatory alignment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production.

You will lead IPT initiatives, guide process design, estimate non-recurring costs, and qualify suppliers to ensure reliable UAV manufacturing capabilities and ongoing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes for UAV systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain and Programs to optimize manufacturing.
• Lead and participate in IPT teams coordinating engineers and other professionals to continuously improve processes.
• Plan and support supplier qualification and collaboration to ensure materials and equipment readiness for UAV manufacturing.
• Estimate non-recurring costs and capacity requirements for manufacturing steps and facilities.

Sr Principal Manufacturing Engineers play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing
industrialization processes for UAV systems. Their expertise ensures the efficient production of high-quality UAVs while
maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams mainly Design
Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Programs, Facilities etc to optimize manufacturing processes and drive
continuous improvement.

Think Process Not Features
Principal Manufacturing Engineers establish a streamlined process that covers all deliverables and milestones- from the initial
estimation to the finished product. Inputs and outputs for each step in the process need to be clearly identified, along with quality
expectations and the value added to the finished product. Once the entire process has been laid out, specific technologies and methods
are considered based on their impact on the process outcome, not the latest bells and whistles.

Concurent Engineering / DFM: Participate in new product development core teams and provide technical influence to ensure
that the products are designed for manufacturability.

Estimation: Play key role in the estimation process of non recurring costs, such as Engineering HRs, Tool Design and
manufacturing, Process design and direct HRs for all manufacturing steps. Also, play key role in estimating capacity requirements
for facilities, machines, tools and materials.

Lead: Lead and/or participate in project teams (IPT teams) coordinating the efforts of engineers, technicians and other professionals
of various disciplines/departments to design, develop, and continuously improve product manufacturing processes.

Plan and Supplier Collaboration: Play key role in qualifying new suplliers and support suppliers with Manufacturing processes
and methods required to manufacture UAV parts. They work closely with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials,
components, and equipment required for manufacturing UAVs.
