Job summary

Raytheon in the United Arab Emirates operates a Coyote factory in Tawazun Industrial Park, Abu Dhabi. We are seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineer to lead cross‑functional efforts, establishing manufacturing plans and transitioning from development to full production while coordinating with US counterparts.

You will drive process development, prepare data packages, and advise on designs to ensure producibility, cost, and quality objectives are met within a high‑assurance defense

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial engineering.
• Minimum five years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience interpreting drawings and GD&T, with CAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing process development and factory capability analysis for readiness.

Job Summary

At Raytheon, we are building the future of defense. The Coyote factory in the United Arab Emirates will be the first of its kind – a lean, high-velocity production center for next-generation counter-UAS technologies. We are seeking bold, execution-driven team members to help drive the standard for operational excellence.

As a Manufacturing Development Engineer you will lead and coordinate with US counterparts to set up UAE facility by providing technical manufacturing assistance from the early development phases through transition to full scale production. In this role, you will leverage your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, factory requirements and business processes to establish and execute the manufacturing plan and influence technical program decisions to support the overall operations.

What You Will Do

• Manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure production readiness and improve product producibility
• Participation in manufacturing and test requirements development
• Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Providing technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes
• Providing technical guidance and problem solving to assembly and quality team
• Applying manufacturing engineering skillsets across the value stream to resolve constraints, improve process and product designs.
• Serving as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program
• Recommending process and procedural changes to ensure that objectives in the areas of cost, efficiency, and quality are met
• Designing, controlling, and improving the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
• Identifying and resolving constraints across the programParticipating in corrective action investigation

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a bachelor's degree Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production with manufacturing process development or improvement
• Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
• Experience with technical writing, interpreting and improving technical drawings and communicating technical information to different audiences

• Ability to identify, reduce and eliminate cost, quality and schedule constraints through technical engagements along with an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and keeps pace with advances in technology
• Demonstrated hands‑on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment.
• Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments
• Ability to work in highly controlled, constraint driven production environment
• Good communicator with confidence to engage both shop floor teams and senior management
