Qualifications

The Opportunity

Etihad Airways is continuing an ambitious period of international growth, expanding our network, commercial reach, and global workforce.

We're looking for an experienced Manager Recruitment to join our Talent Acquisition team and lead recruitment across a portfolio of revenue & commercial functions. This is a highly visible role partnering with senior leaders to identify, attract, and secure talent across multiple international markets.

You'll operate in a fast-moving, complex environment where hiring requirements can span countries, functions, and levels of seniority. While experience recruiting within aviation would be valuable, it isn't essential. We're particularly interested in recruiters who have developed their careers within large, international organizations and complex matrix structures, and who understand what it takes to recruit globally.

The role is hands-on. You'll own searches yourself, build international talent pipelines, advise leaders on the external market, and increasingly use AI-enabled sourcing and recruitment technology to identify talent that traditional sourcing approaches may not reach.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end recruitment across a portfolio of commercial roles, from workforce planning and search strategy through assessment, offer, and onboarding.
• Partner with senior business leaders and HR Business Partners, acting as a trusted advisor on talent availability, market dynamics, sourcing strategy, and hiring decisions.
• Develop and execute international sourcing strategies, identifying talent across multiple geographic markets and industries.
• Build proactive pipelines for critical and recurring talent requirements rather than relying solely on active applicants.
• Use AI-enabled sourcing platforms, recruitment technology, talent intelligence, and traditional sourcing channels to identify and engage high-quality passive talent.
• Recruit across a range of commercial disciplines, with experience hiring sales and commercially focused talent particularly valuable.
• Navigate a complex, matrixed organization, balancing the requirements of multiple stakeholders while maintaining pace and quality.
• Bring external market intelligence to hiring conversations, helping leaders understand talent availability, competitor activity, and alternative talent pools.
• Ensure candidates are assessed consistently and objectively using Etihad's recruitment and assessment methodologies.
• Champion an engaging, transparent candidate experience and represent Etihad effectively in international talent markets.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced recruiter who combines strong recruitment fundamentals with curiosity about how technology and AI are changing talent acquisition.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• 7+ years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, with significant experience gained within a large, international organization.
• Demonstrated experience operating within a complex, matrixed organizational environment, partnering with stakeholders across different functions, countries, and levels of seniority.
• Strong experience delivering international recruitment, including proactively sourcing and engaging candidates across multiple geographic markets.
• Hands-on experience using AI-enabled sourcing tools, talent intelligence platforms, or other emerging recruitment technologies to identify and engage talent.
• Proven proactive sourcing capability, including experience identifying and engaging passive candidates rather than relying primarily on applications.
• Experience recruiting commercial talent; sales recruitment experience would be particularly advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including the credibility to advise and influence senior leaders.
• Experience managing complex or challenging searches in competitive talent markets.
• A strong understanding of contemporary talent acquisition practices, including sourcing, assessment, candidate experience, recruitment technology, and talent pipelining.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Experience within aviation, travel, cargo, hospitality, or another international consumer-facing organization would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in recruiters from other complex global businesses who can demonstrate the right recruitment capability and commercial mindset.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for this position will involve the following steps:

1. All applications will be reviewed by a human-member of our Recruitment Team
2. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to completed an AI-lead video interview via our third-party platform. This interview will allow you to record your responses to a range of questions related to the position and will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and experience in a way that just your CV alone would not be able to. It also ensures fairness for you and all candidates, as all of our shortlisted candidates are asked the same questions and assessed on their responses. Whilst AI is utilized as part of the process, all responses will be reviewed by a human member of our recruitment team
3. After a review of completed video interviews, shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial technical interview with the hiring manager.
4. Finalists will be invited to a follow-up interview with additional members of the hiring team - this may involve the completion of a brief business case assignment
5. All candidates will be notified as to the status of their application as soon as is possible.
