A leading real estate development company in Abu Dhabi is seeking to appoint a Manager – Legal (Projects and Construction) to support its growing operations. The selected candidate will work closely with the General Counsel to manage legal matters related to high-value construction, development, and infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: • Provide legal advice and support across departments in coordination with the General Counsel. • Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including consultancy, contractor, vendor, lease, procurement, licensing, service, and confidentiality agreements. • Lead and manage the contract lifecycle process, including negotiation, review, and execution. • Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, regulatory, and corporate legal matters. • Handle pre-litigation and litigation support, including drafting legal strategy and documentation. • Conduct legal risk assessments and develop mitigation plans. • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations affecting real estate and construction operations. • Support internal corporate governance, policy review, and legal training where needed. • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior legal team members.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university. • Bar membership is required. • 5–8 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained in the UAE or GCC. • Experience in an international law firm, real estate or construction company, preferably within a developer or large project environment. • Strong drafting and analytical skills with a commercial mindset. • Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage. • Strong understanding of UAE laws related to construction, commercial contracts, and real estate.
