Job summary

Mai Dubai™ Bottled Drinking Water in the UAE seeks an experienced HSSE Leader to drive health, safety, security and environmental strategy across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring regulatory compliance and governance.

You will lead risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and safety culture programs, reporting to senior leadership. Requires 10+ years in HSSE with 3–5 years in leadership in FMCG/manufacturing in UAE/GCC; NEBOSH Diploma or ISO Lead Auditor; UAE Nationals only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Science (Master’s preferred).
• Certifications: NEBOSH Diploma / OSHA / IOSH / ISO Lead Auditor.
• 10+ years of HSSE experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role within FMCG / manufacturing / industrial sectors in UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations (DM, DCD) and international standards (NFPA, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Proven expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and compliance management.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills.
• Emiratization Role – Open to UAE Nationals Only.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the HSSE strategy aligned with business objectives and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Defence, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA, OSHA, and ISO standards.
• Establish and enhance HSSE policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee HIRA and JHA processes to identify and mitigate risks.
• Monitor and improve key safety metrics (ASR, AFR, TRIR).
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across operations.
• Drive behavioral safety programs and safety culture.
• Manage emergency preparedness, crisis response, and evacuation planning.
• Ensure effective management and communication of MSDS across sites.
• Lead environmental and sustainability compliance initiatives.
• Develop and lead the HSSE team, including capability building and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external regulatory authorities.
• Ensure workforce training and awareness on HSSE standards and best practices.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation.
