Qualifications

• Native or near-native Malayalam proficiency (reading and writing)
• Strong professional proficiency in English (minimum C1)
• 3+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
• Deep understanding of Malayalam grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style; able to explain why something is wrong and how to fix it.

Responsibilities

• Review and quality-check existing translations of English science benchmark questions (ARC) in Malayalam
• Compare the original translation and AI-proposed correction against the English source for accuracy and faithfulness
• Review the question and answer choices only, select the appropriate outcome (accept original, accept AI correction, edit translation, or elevate)
• Provide a brief review comment to document quality and rationale
