Applicants should have a B.E. or graduate engineering degree with 5–10 years in maintenance, strong management and analytical skills, and fluent English. Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written English; Arabic language is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of maintenance personnel, including engineers and technicians, in daily maintenance of hospital and high-rise building systems.
• Make decisions on project work within hospital premises and coordinate with management.
• Upgrade and modernize utility equipment across areas as needed.
• Plan, cost, and execute maintenance projects; manage budgets and AMC/CMC where applicable.
• Coordinate with government organizations and other establishments related to maintenance.
• Ensure welfare of staff and set up and lead the maintenance department team.

Job Description

To be responsible to guide a team of maintenance personnel, including engineers and technician in a day to day maintenance of various engineering appliances used in the hospital and high rise building of effective usage.

Responsibilities

• To be responsible for taking decision on project work being carried out inside the hospital premises.
• Responsible for upgrading and modernization of utility equipment in various areas.
• Dealing with government organization and other establishments in relation with maintenance department.
• Responsible for planning, costing and execution of various projects inside the hospital premises.
• Taking policy decision in co-ordination with the management.
• To be responsible to look after the welfare of the staff in the department.
• Fixing of contractors for specific jobs with the help of system-in-charge.
• Long-term planning in taking up renovation/modifications.
• Responsible to prepare and project budget for maintenance activities.
• To contribute to Quality initiatives.
• To train the staff for effective application and upgradation of modern technology.
• Responsible to assist manager in all areas of the activities.
• Setting up the engineering team and dept.
• Maintain a master list of equipment and identifying each one suitably by a code.
• Support equipments has to be physically checked in the morning shift and checklist must be updated and documented.
• Measures to implement efficient maintenance practices in the hospital, which includes building, electrical, mechanical, lifts, HVAC, plumbing.
• Implementation of preventive maintenance schedules for equipments and to be updated for ready reference.
• Breakdown maintenance management to minimize the down time of equipments.
• Measures to minimize the operational cost of overall maintenance by energy conservation, inventory management etc.
• Motivate and guide the technical team to adopt best practices in facility management.
• Responsible for smooth functioning of the dept.
• Identify the machines/equipments requires AMC/CMC. Ensure AMC/CMC provider has done his job satisfactorily and effectively each time as per specified schedule. To keep the record of service and breakdown reports for review and action.
• Repair jobs are also assigned to specialized agency when found necessary.
• Planning, implementing department budget.
• To take a better care of company assets and its efficiency.
• Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, modifications, renovations in the existing infrastructure.
• Maintenance in charge receives the intimation through the request for maintenance action (Maintenance Request form) and will be attended and documented.
• To set up specific targets in the department.
• To manage the respective section in day to day activities.
• To assign work for technicians.
• To analyze the complaints and take necessary actions.
• To take care of welfare of the staff.
