Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Steward - Main Kitchen to join the Kitchen Stewards team in the UAE. Primary duties include cleaning, sanitizing, and proper storage of crockery and utensils, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

The ideal candidate requires at least secondary education, with no experience required but 1 year in a 5-star hotel or integrated resort preferred.

Qualifications

• Secondary school completion required; higher credentials are assets.
• No prior experience required; however, a minimum of 1 year in a 5-star hotel or integrated resort is preferred.
• Knowledge of correct use, handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Fluency in English is essential; other languages are an asset.
• Physically capable of cleaning high areas, large equipment and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and properly store crockery, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, including ovens, stovetops, floors, and ceilings.
• Handle, use, and store cleaning chemicals safely as per procedures.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of kitchen waste per hygiene standards.
• Follow instructions from Stewarding Team Leaders and Supervisors; support daily operations.
• Build positive working relationships and communicate professionally with colleagues and management.
