Job summary

Banyan Tree Dubai is seeking a Sommelier to elevate our beverage program with expert wine knowledge, personalised recommendations and attentive service to our guests. You will enhance the dining experience through passion for wines and refined guest interactions.

You will collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams, manage wine inventory, provide staff training, and drive guest satisfaction through storytelling and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sommelier in luxury hospitality.
• WSET or Court of Master Sommeliers or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international wines, grape varieties, regions and pairings.
• Excellent communication and English; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised wine recommendations and pairings for guests.
• Guide guests through wine selections with confidence and storytelling.
• Present, open and serve wines according to luxury standards.
• Maintain wine inventory, storage and cellar organization.
• Collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams on wine pairings and menus.
• Promote wine experiences and upsell premium offerings.
• Train and support colleagues in wine service and knowledge.
