Job summary

The First Group is seeking a Receiving Clerk to support its luxury hospitality operations in the UAE. You will manage inbound deliveries, verify accuracy against orders, and document movements to maintain precise stock records across departments.

Ideal candidates will have experience in receiving and inventory, with strong attention to detail, the ability to coordinate with suppliers and storekeepers, and a readiness to work flexible hours in a premium hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving, stores, or inventory control.
• Experience in luxury hospitality environment is a plus.
• Proficient in inventory documentation.
• Basic computer skills with inventory systems.
• Good numerical and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays.
• Qualification in Stores, Logistics, or related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries from approved suppliers during designated receiving hours.
• Verify delivered goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and approved specifications.
• Record all received goods accurately in the inventory system.
• Ensure receiving documents are completed, signed, filed, and distributed appropriately.
• Coordinate with the Storekeeper to transfer accepted goods to the correct storage areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving area.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Stores, suppliers, and department representatives regarding delivery schedules and discrepancies.
• Obtain the required approvals for rejected, damaged, short, or non-compliant deliveries.
• Assist with inspecting and recording returned goods, rejected items, and supplier collections.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, returns, discrepancies, damaged goods, and pending documentation.
• Support stock counts, inventory checks, audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure delivery personnel follow applicable access, safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
• Report suspicious activity, unauthorized deliveries, safety hazards, or security concerns promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding suppliers, purchases, stock levels, pricing, and organisational operations.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.
