Job summary

The Greater Change seeks a skilled Joinery Draftsman to produce precise 2D and 3D drawings for bespoke furniture, cabinetry and joinery projects. You will translate design concepts into production-ready drawings, coordinating with designers, project managers and the production team to ensure accuracy and adherence to timelines.

Required is a Diploma/degree in Drafting or related field and 5+ years of joinery experience, with mandatory AutoCAD proficiency and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Draftsman in joinery, carpentry, furniture or related industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD must.
• Strong understanding of joinery detailing and furniture construction methods.
• Ability to translate architectural/design drawings into production-ready drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and layouts for joinery, furniture and cabinetry projects using AutoCAD.
• Interpret drawings to develop accurate shop drawings for production.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers and production teams to meet specifications and timelines.
• Calculate dimensions and weights; advise on hardware, finishes and materials.
• Conduct site measurements to ensure accuracy and alignment with designs.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients or project managers.
• Maintain documentation and revisions throughout production.
