Job summary

Raffles The Palm is seeking a meticulous Tailor to deliver high-quality tailoring and alterations for uniforms, linen and textiles. Reporting to the Linen/Laundry Supervisor, you will maintain sewing equipment, manage materials, and ensure every item meets the hotel’s luxury standards.

With at least 3 years in a similar hospitality role, you will demonstrate strong sewing skills, attention to detail and a professional appearance to uphold the Raffles presentation.

Qualifications

• Secondary education is required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar capacity in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Repairing bed linen, towels, bath mats and other linen items.
• Repairing table linen, curtain headings and hems.
• Altering and sewing on buttons on uniforms.
• Assist uniform staff with checking and distributing uniforms.
• Maintain sewing equipment and work area cleanliness.
• Adhere to OH&S policies and procedures.
