Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is seeking an Income Auditor to join the Finance team. You will be responsible for the daily accounting of hotel income, ensuring timely posting and accurate revenue reporting.

The role requires meticulous attention to rebates, discounts, and reconciliations across PMS, POS and back-office ledgers. You will work closely with the Finance Director to maintain robust internal controls and deliver precise daily/monthly revenue packages.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management and/or Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as Income Auditor in a similar capacity in a hotel.
• Excellent knowledge of PMS, POS and Accounting systems (preferably Springer Miller, InfoGenesis and SUN).
• Perfect English skills (verbal and writing).

Responsibilities

• Owns accounting of all daily hotel income and ensures monthly revenue is posted on the first day of each month.
• Authorize rebates, allowances and discounts per hotel policy and report deviations to Finance Director.
• Prepare and distribute the Daily Revenue Report for management.
• Verify and reconcile all revenue reports and night audit results.
• Balance daily revenues and settlements in PMS and POS.
• Prepare journal entries with correct COA descriptions.
• Reconcile interface postings and ensure revenues are posted.
• Verify banquet revenue postings against daily BEOs and charges.
• Review housekeeping discrepancy and file the audit package.
• Approve paid-out transactions with proper justification.
• Review F&B voids, discount reports and no-show charges.
• Ensure all misc/allowance/charges have approvals and backups.
• Monitor credit card settlements and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Handle guest disputes including credit card inquiries and chargebacks.
• Update foreign exchange rates in PMS and inform Front Office.
• Complete daily audit packs and end-of-day procedures.
• Report audit findings and ensure compliance with policies.
