We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant at Meliá Desert Palm in Dubai. You will maintain guest rooms, villas and public areas to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards, delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment is required.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Positive attitude with a passion for guest service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of hotel facilities and services.
• Understanding of lost and found procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service guest rooms, villas and public areas to Meliá Hotels International standards.
• Provide friendly, courteous, prompt and personalised service to guests and colleagues.
• Attend to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Handle and secure keys and hotel property safely.
• Report discrepancies and maintenance issues per hotel procedures.
• Utilise resources and supplies efficiently in assigned areas.
• Maintain records and checklists related to daily operations.
• Deposit found items at the Housekeeping Office the same day.
• Coordinate with minibar team for amenities and in-room services.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, carpets and furnishings.
• Contribute to teamwork and departmental cooperation.
• Interact with guests in a pleasant, professional manner.
• Ensure proper dilution, storage and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Support sustainability initiatives by conserving energy and reducing waste.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to keep guest areas in excellent condition.
• Attend training sessions and departmental meetings.
