Job summary

Sofitel Dubai the Obelisk is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage server to deliver polished service in a luxury hotel. You will read daily events, know menu items and garnishes, present children's menus when appropriate, and serve and clear dishes in a professional, unobtrusive manner.

You will use the POS system, handle cash, maintain station cleanliness, assist other outlets during peak hours, and ensure guest satisfaction by addressing feedback and adhering to safety and hygiene policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year food and beverage serving experience.
• Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience.

Responsibilities

• Read daily events and acknowledge VIP arrivals.
• Know all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods and relay to guests.
• Present children's menus when appropriate and describe specials.
• Serve and clear food and beverage items in a professional manner.
• Use the POS system to ring up sales, print checks, close checks and complete cash-out procedures.
• Maintain a clean, neat restaurant during service.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation and hygiene policies.
