Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in the UAE seeks a Kitchen & Laundry Technician to maintain and repair commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations across departments. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to requests, and support energy-saving initiatives in a luxury resort setting.

The role requires a vocational certificate or diploma in engineering (mechanical or electrical) with at least 2 years of relevant experience, and flexibility to work shifts,

Qualifications

• Diploma or vocational certificate in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with relevant experience.
• Hands-on maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and basic troubleshoot of mechanical/electrical faults.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform physical tasks required by maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing kitchen and laundry equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance on ovens, boilers, mixers, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and other equipment.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and completing work orders to minimise downtime.
• Keeping tools and areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Supporting energy conservation initiatives and efficient operating practices.
• Following health, safety, and hotel engineering standards during repairs.
• Collaborating with Culinary, Stewarding, and Laundry teams to resolve issues.
• Taking on other maintenance duties as assigned as a reliable team member.
