Job summary

Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair Hotel in Dubai is seeking a Laundry Technician to manage laundry plumbing and electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance and quick turn-overs to keep operations smooth.

Responsibilities include maintaining all laundry equipment, adhering to codes, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance across shifts in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in position is a strong asset.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Mechanical & Technical certification is preferred.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all laundry equipment’s are properly maintained and service to upkeep all equipment and to avoid breakdown
• Maintain all kinds of laundry equipment and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes
• Perform preventive maintenance and completes the turn-over quickly and efficiently in order to keep a good flow of the operations
• Maintain security measures by counting and making rounds through the laundry on a periodic basis
• Respond to breakdowns of equipment’s and being available in case of emergency and applying the appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
