Job summary

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, is seeking a housekeeping associate focused on laundry operations. The role involves operating washing, drying, and dry-cleaning machinery, selecting correct cycles, and ensuring cleanliness of all laundered items.

You will maintain accurate records and uphold safety, confidentiality, and professional appearance standards. Experience with fabric care, lint removal, and folding of linens is expected, with the ability to move and lift light loads

Responsibilities

• Operate washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery and manage chemicals and lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on repair, spot treatment, rewash or discard.
• Inspect cleanliness of laundered articles and place in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to correct times and temperatures based on fabrics.
• Maintain records of items laundered and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Keep uniform and personal appearance clean and professional; protect company assets.
• Support team, contribute to efficiency, productivity, and cost-savings initiatives.
• Move and handle items safely, including lifting up to 25 pounds and navigating stairs.
