Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, Cleaner, Stewarding Assistant, or similar role.
• Experience within a luxury, premium, private, corporate, lifestyle, or high-end environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, cleaning procedures, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent cleaning standards.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and busy service periods.
• Basic communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Relevant food-safety or hygiene training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, workstations, floors, and storage.
• Wash, rinse, sanitize, dry, and store crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cookware.
• Operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely.
• Support kitchen team with cleaning and prep before, during, and after service.
• Ensure clean equipment is available when required.
• Handle chemicals and equipment safely per safety instructions.
• Follow hygiene, sanitation, and food-safety procedures.
• Maintain waste separation and disposal practices.
• Coordinate with departments to maintain smooth operations.
• Attend trainings and briefings; perform duties as assigned.
