Job summary

Atlantis Resorts is seeking a Sommelier for Carbone in Dubai, UAE, to deliver expert wine service in a luxury fine-dining setting. You will pair wines with menu selections and provide personalized guest recommendations while collaborating with the Bar Manager and Wine Manager.

You will manage wine lists, stock, and inventories, support wine list development, and upsell beverages to enhance guest experiences. International experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of sommelier experience at a comparable level.
• WSET Level 2 qualification is required.
• Experience in luxury restaurants or hotels preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recommend wines according to guest preferences and menu selections.
• Apply wine pairing knowledge to enhance the dining experience.
• Provide attentive and knowledgeable guidance throughout wine service.
• Serve wines at the appropriate temperature.
• Select suitable glassware for each wine.
• Recognize opportunities to upsell beverages naturally.
• Maintain the high service standards expected in a luxury fine dining restaurant.
• Assist with wine ordering according to operational requirements.
• Rotate wine inventory appropriately.
• Help maintain accurate and well-organized wine stock.
• Contribute practical wine knowledge when developing and maintaining the restaurant's selection.
• Train restaurant staff on wines and wine service.
