Job description

To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor, to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall, daily management of operational duties and deputize for the Operations Manager as required.
• Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station while supervising logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to meet and exceed operational KPIs.
• Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach when needed, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations; communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise quality.
• Interview candidates for associate roles.
• Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates; maintain attention to detail to ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and fully; measure and monitor workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance.
• Help with training and mentoring new Associates to ensure they have the knowledge to perform their tasks; follow up on and resolve process-related issues as required.
• Perform physical activities such as pushing carts up to 100 pounds and lifting packages up to 15 kg.
• Be flexible to work in different shifts and to do overtime when needed.
• Resource the function from a personal standpoint with regard to training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity, and other related activities.
