Job summary

UCC Holding is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee transportation, distribution and storage operations. You will lead a team of drivers, warehouse staff, and support functions to optimize productivity and ensure on-time delivery, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong experience in logistics principles, inventory control, and SAP-based systems, with a focus on process improvements and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals.
• Assist in developing logistics programme along with budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
• Maintain and manage relations with warehouses, carriers, customs broker, and customers.
• Negotiate and support logistics costs for 3rd party providers toward yearly budget goals.
• Ensure shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner.
• Assist in evaluating potential logistic suppliers and booking systems for delivery management.
• Coordinate and present logistics support to ongoing operations.
• Assist in developing tools and methodologies to enable effective execution of logistic plans.
• Assist in designing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
• Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
• Comply with Company directives, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure the organization’s safety policies are followed.
• Assist in developing and maintaining logistic process documentation.

This role involves managing a team of logistics personnel, including drivers, warehouse workers, and administrative staff, to optimize productivity and meet operational goals. Additionally, The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for planning and scheduling logistics activities, monitoring inventory levels, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. They play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of products, maintaining accurate records, and upholding safety and regulatory compliance standards within the logistics department.

Job Responsibilities 1

• Ensure effective and timely implementation of all Logistics daily operational goals.
• Assist in developing logistics programme along with support plans, budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
• Maintain and manage relations with warehouses, carriers, customs broker, and customers.

Job Responsibilities 2

• Establish and manage relations with warehouses, carriers, customs broker, and customers.
• Ensure customers receives their products/materials in a timely manner and good condition.
• Communicate effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
• Ensure to develop methods of stock control, closely monitors warehousing management, and regularly submits situation reports on stocks, equipment and prepositioned goods.
• Ensure to plan site set-up to move labor, plant, and materials around site efficiently (e.g., hoarding, gates, site accommodation, cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery and waste management strategy, catering).
• Ensure to plan internal and external logistics routes through the project phases focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery and people. Lay down areas and offloading points.
• Ensure to pre-plan the usage of key assets such as hoists to ensure planned assets meet the needs of the program.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies

Job Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough understanding of logistics principles, including transportation, inventory management, and supply chain operations.

• Excellent organizational abilities to plan and schedule logistics activities, optimize routes, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyze performance metrics.
• Problem-solving skills to address logistical challenges, resolve issues, and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency.
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

• Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
• Candidate should be in Abu Dhabi and with transferrable visa with a short notice period
