Job summary

Alpago is seeking a Logistics Officer to plan, coordinate, and control movement, storage, and delivery of materials across the Joinery Division and project sites in the UAE. • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a logistics, dispatch, or supply chain role within UAE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments between factory, warehouses, and project sites.
• Schedule and monitor fleet and third-party transport for on-time delivery.
• Select suitable vehicles based on item dimensions and ensure safe loading.
• Maintain records of materials transferred and obtain signed proof of delivery.
• Plan and supervise packaging of finished joinery products for damage-free transport.
• Generate and verify barcodes/labels for goods using barcode systems.
• Maintain real-time logistic stock records in the ERP/inventory system.
• Coordinate with Production and QA/QC to ensure items are inspected, labelled, packed and approved before dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and UAE transport regulations.

The Logistics Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the movement, storage, and delivery of materials, finished goods, and equipment across the Joinery Division and its project sites. The role ensures timely dispatch and receipt of goods, accurate documentation, and cost-efficient transport operations in line with production schedules, project deadlines, and company policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished joinery products (wood, metal glass, etc) between the factory, warehouses, and project sites.
• Schedule and monitor fleet and third-party transport to ensure on-time delivery and optimal vehicle/route utilization.
• Select suitable vehicles based on item dimensions, ensure proper protection and safe loading of finished items to
• Maintain complete records of materials transferred between the factory, warehouse and project sites & obtain signed and stamped proof of delivery from the receiving person.
• Plan and supervise packaging of finished joinery products to ensure damage-free transport and compliance with client/project specifications.
• Generate, apply, and verify barcodes/labels for finished goods, raw materials, and inventory items using barcode scanning systems and software.
• Maintain accurate logistic stock records through barcode-based inventory tracking, ensuring real-time updates in the ERP/inventory system.
• Coordinate with Production and QA/QC to confirm that items are complete, inspected, labelled, packed and approved before dispatch & liaise to align delivery schedules with project timelines and production plans.
• Ensure all vehicles, drivers, and logistics operations comply with company HSE policies and UAE traffic/transport regulations.
• Ensure packaging materials (crates, pallets, wrapping, protective padding) are available and used per standard operating procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a logistics, dispatch, or supply chain role, preferably within manufacturing, joinery, fit-out, or contracting industries within UAE.
