Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lobby Ambassador to join the Front Office team. The role focuses on welcoming guests, guiding inquiries, and maintaining an immaculate lobby for a luxury property on the Abu Dhabi coast.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high volume internationally recognized luxury hotel chain and a few years in a similar position is required.
• Degree or Higher National Diploma equivalent in Hospitality Management will be an advantage.
• Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand guest needs and expectations and to deliver superior customer service.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Has a complete knowledge of the Hotel, it’s services, facilities and geographical layout.
• Is knowledgeable on all VIP Arrival, In-House and Departure Guests.
• Remains up to date with Hotel Functions and Events.
• Engages with all guests, in-house and visitors.
• Always maintains lobby presence, ensuring all guests are greeted and assisted when applicable and ensuring limited congestion in the lobby.
• Being proactive in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lobby.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
• Handles any duties which may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor or Manager.
• Attends F.O. Briefings and Trainings required by Management and Learning & Development.
• Reports for duty punctually with the appropriate uniform and respective name badge, strictly adhering to the Grooming and Hygiene Standards illustrated in the Hotel’s Look Book.
• Strictly adheres to the Hotel’s Code of Conduct and Rules & Regulations.

About The Job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Front Office Department, the Lobby Ambassador is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Main Lobby, engaging with hotel guests and visitors, by providing a warm welcome and farewell, and offering guidance whilst performing in accordance to the Legendary Quality Experience and Brand Standards. The Lobby Ambassador reports to the Front Office Manager.

As a Lobby Ambassador, you will be responsible for the following duties:
