Qualifications

• Fluent English with strong written and spoken communication.
• Knowledge of lighting, audiovisual or event-related systems.
• Experience assembling/disassembling equipment.
• Team-oriented, able to follow detailed instructions under pressure.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Basic knowledge of electricity control systems or measurement tools.
• Training in audiovisuals or electronics.
• Proactive and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up technical equipment per project plans.
• Assemble and secure fixtures, panels, cables and supports.
• Manage connections and cabling; label and check equipment condition.
• Assist in adjustments during rehearsals and live operations.
• Identify and help resolve basic technical issues.
• Support inventory and upkeep of equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and communicate within the team.

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading B2B solution provider who are looking to recruit a Lighting Specialist for their offices in Ras Al Khaimah.

Position: Lighting Specialist

Location: Ras Al Khaimah UAE

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: Base salary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install organize and set up technical equipment according to project plans or supervisor instructions.
• Assemble position and secure gear such as fixtures panels cables and support systems.
• Manage and maintain connections and cabling: labeling coiling and checking equipment condition.
• Assist in adjusting setups during rehearsals testing or live operations.
• Identify and help resolve basic technical issues.
• Support the inventory organization and upkeep of equipment and accessories.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain clear communication within the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluent in English with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
• Foundational to intermediate knowledge of professional technical systems (lighting audiovisual or event-related).
• Hands-on experience assembling and disassembling equipment (educational or professional background accepted).
• Team-oriented able to follow detailed instructions and comfortable in high-pressure environments.
• Physically capable of lifting moving and handling equipment.
• Flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of electricity control systems or measurement tools.
• Familiarity with industry concepts (e.g. signal flow system operation or related technical fields).
• Training in audiovisuals electronics electricity or related disciplines.
• Proactive responsible and eager to learn.
