Job summary

al-sahraa-recruitment-services-2 is seeking a Lifting Specialist (Appointed Person) for offshore oil and gas operations in the UAE. You will lead lifting planning, coordinate crane teams, and ensure safe lifting across sites.

Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing and executing critical lift plans, enforcing HSE standards, and overseeing crane operators, riggers, and banksmen. ADNOC-offshore context preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (min 3 years) or equivalent.
• 7+ years lifting experience in oil & gas.
• 5+ years in Appointed Person role.
• Experience in offshore and onshore lifting operations.
• Ability to prepare, review, supervise and execute critical lift plans.
• Experience leading Crane Operators, Riggers, and Banksmen.
• Strong focus on HSE and safe lifting practices.
• Knowledge of international lifting standards and lifting engineering practices.
• Experience in change management and lifting operation planning.
• Able to coordinate and control lifting activities across multiple sites/locations.
• Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Must be 30 years of age or above.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 3 years) or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of lifting-related experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in a similar Appointed Person role.
• Strong experience in offshore and onshore lifting operations.
• Ability to prepare, review, supervise, and execute critical lift plans.
• Experience leading Crane Operators, Riggers, and Banksmen to ensure safe lifting operations.
• Strong focus on HSE and safe lifting practices.
• Knowledge of international lifting standards and lifting engineering practices.
• Experience in change management and lifting operation planning.
• Able to coordinate and control lifting activities across multiple sites/locations.
• Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Must be 30 years of age or above.

Certifications:

• Valid Appointed Person Certification from an ADNOC Offshore-approved training provider.
• Trained in Offshore or Onshore Crane Operation Planning.
• LEEA Entry Exam and Diplomas are an added advantage.

Preferred:

• ADNOC or offshore oil & gas experience.
• Experience with critical lifts and complex lifting operations.
• Strong understanding of lifting equipment and inspection requirements.
