Job summary

One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai, part of Kerzner International, seeks a Lifeguard to oversee water safety and guest protection across pool and beach areas. The role emphasizes anticipation, precision and warmth in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in upscale hospitality, strong English skills, and flexibility to work in a demanding resort environment. GCC experience is an advantage; join a brand committed to guest joy and meticulous service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in upscale luxury hospitality or five-star hotels.
• Excellent spoken and written English; additional language is a plus.
• Middle East/GCC experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the needs of resort guests.
• Assigned to a zone of protection, ensure guest safety and enforce safety rules.
• Provide instructions to swimmers.
• Hose down after the operating day.
• Contribute to resort clean up, including trash pickup, pressure washing, etc.
• Perform job function within all the resort policies, standards and procedures.
• Stand for long periods of time and perform activities that require flexibility.
• Tolerate cold and hot weather, plus cold water.
• Lift heavy people on a backboard and physical exertion to perform rescues.
• Carry heavy objects such as hoses, tables, and signs.
• Perform any and all tasks as assigned by your supervisors necessary for the operation.
• Other assigned duties necessitated by operational demand.

With the global growth of our brands, you will be an integral part of the Resort’s success and your role goes beyond developing potential relationships where you will be responsible for the overall water safety of every Guests. Therefore, you must enforce safety rules and use of preventative lifeguarding techniques to maintain a safe environment within the pool & beach area.

Suitable candidate must be highly qualified and must have at least 1-2 years’ experience in an upscale luxury hospitality industry or five-star hotels. He/she must have strong attention to details, flexibility and must be able to work under pressure. Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English is a must and/or another language. Middle East/GCC experience is an advantage.
