Job summary

One&Only The Palm is seeking a Director of Wellness and Retail to lead the wellness, movement and longevity department at Dubai’s iconic Palm retreat. You will drive operational and financial strategy, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and engaging with the hotel leadership.

The role requires a Certificate in Wellness Management, 5+ years in the field, and fluent English. You will oversee budgeting, program development, and a team focused on delivering luxury wellness experiences aligned

Responsibilities

• Oversee the wellness, movement and longevity department to ensure high standards of service and financial performance.
• Prepare monthly financial and statistical reports for the General Manager, with proposals on policy and operation.
• Develop annual budget and business plan for the wellness, movement and longevity department.
• Provide leadership, direction, and training to a motivated team.
• Integrate the department within the hotel marketing strategy and maintain internal/external representation.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and quality standards; implement improvement measures.
• Lead planning and implementation of marketing activities within the department.
• Ensure HR policies and hotel procedures are followed.

With stunning resorts located across the globe and exciting expansion planned, Kerzner International currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Wellness and Retail to join our wellness, movement and longevity team at One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai.

With the global growth of our brands, you will be an integral part of the Resort’s success, and your role goes beyond developing meaningful relationships with our guests and colleagues. As a Director of Wellness and Retail, you will be responsible for driving and leading the operational and financial direction of the wellness, movement and longevity department, maximizing all opportunities and resources. To ensure that the highest standards are adhered to, and that guest experience exceeds expectation. To work closely with the General Manager in establishing and maintaining marketing objectives, operating criteria, programming, budgeting, VIP guest visits, staff relations and training.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• To be responsible for the overall management and performance of the wellness, movement and longevity department, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service and optimum financial performance.
• To be responsible for the quality of service, and maintenance of the product in line with Hotel Operating Standards.
• To prepare monthly financial and statistical reports for the General Manager, incorporating proposals and recommendations regarding policy and operation at the wellness, movement and longevity department, competition, occupancy and usage, market share and achievement of targets.
• To establish and ensure a cost-effective wage structure based on productivity and efficiency.
• To develop and submit an annual budget and business plan for the wellness, movement and longevity department, in conjunction with the General Manager. To be responsible for the achievement and regular review of the business plan and budget.
• To provide leadership, direction, and support to employees to develop a highly motivated team capable of delivering high standards of service in all areas.
• To effectively integrate the wellness, movement and longevity department within the Hotel Marketing Strategy and to ensure ongoing representation, both internally and externally,
• To develop an annual training plan for the team, in conjunction with the HR Department and ensure that all employees are trained and developed to meet the needs of the business.
• To monitor standards of performance and member satisfaction and introduce measures to ensure the highest standards of quality and service.
• To lead the planning and implementation of marketing activities within the wellness, movement and longevity department, with support from the Hotel.
• To ensure that good practice is applied to all issues in relation to employees and in conjunction with the HR Department, ensure that all Hotel HR policies and procedures are followed.
• To provide an effective structure for communication within the team at all levels.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Certificate in Wellness Management
• Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
