Job summary

Big Fish Consult is seeking a Legal Manager (Projects & Construction) in Abu Dhabi to lead strategic advisory, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance for major infrastructure initiatives. The role merges construction law with international business, offering exposure to oil, gas, renewable energy, and luxury real estate projects.

You will work with public and private clients, manage risk, and mentor junior counsel, with UAE bar eligibility and GCC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• LLB or JD from a recognized university; an LLM in Construction Law is a differentiator.
• Minimum 5–7 years handling construction contracts, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance, preferably within GCC markets.
• Bar membership (local or foreign) and, if possible, FIDIC contract familiarity.
• Familiarity with project-management software and document review tools.
• Strong negotiation and cross-cultural communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advisory on construction projects and regulatory matters.
• Negotiate and draft complex contracts, including EPC and other project documents.
• Develop risk mitigation, compliance programs, and contract governance.
• Advise on UAE regulatory frameworks and international contract standards.
• Support tendering, project finance discussions, and dispute resolution processes.
