An international real estate company is looking for a Legal Counsel to enhance their UAE operations. This full-time, permanent role requires a qualified legal professional experienced in regulatory, commercial, and corporate law in the GCC region. You will manage diverse legal aspects, support governance, and ensure compliance while contributing to various internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of legal practice in the GCC, especially UAE and KSA.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.

Job description

An international real estate company is seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join their UAE team. The role is suited for a qualified legal professional with proven experience across regulatory, commercial, and corporate legal matters in the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare contractual and commercial risk assessments and support during the pre-tendering stage.

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including FIDIC agreements.

• Advise on company policies, statutory compliance, and internal governance procedures.

• Support legal aspects of corporate governance, including licensing, renewals, and restructuring.

• Provide legal support to HR, finance, tax, and operational teams on contractual and risk matters.

• Monitor legal/regulatory changes across UAE & KSA and conduct gap analyses.

• Manage dispute resolution support including strategy and liaising with external counsel.

• Improve contracting workflows, legal templates, and documentation practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; advanced legal qualifications preferred.

• Bar admission is a plus.

• Minimum 3 years of legal practice in the GCC, with experience in UAE & Saudi Arabia.

• Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.

• Familiarity with UAE/KSA laws, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks.

• Background in real estate or engineering consultancy firms is preferred.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and travel if required.

This is a full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday) offering broad legal exposure across corporate and commercial matters. Ideal for candidates seeking growth in a globally respected real estate firm.
