Job summary

Salt, a leading shipping and maritime company in Dubai, seeks an in-house legal counsel to oversee all legal matters for its growing operations. The ideal candidate will review and draft commercial contracts, confidentiality agreements, supplier and client documents, and handle cross-border regulatory obligations while maintaining confidential files and corporate records across entities.

Experience in maritime/shipping and a law degree with at least six years of experience (EU exposure

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of legal experience in maritime/shipping/charters.
• EU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare and manage commercial contracts, agreements and legal documentation.
• Prepare and review confidentiality agreements, supplier agreements and client agreements.
• Provide administrative and legal support for cross-border business activities.
• Maintain awareness of international legal considerations relevant to the Company's operations.
• Assist with KYC documentation, due diligence requests and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain confidential legal files and ensure documentation is stored securely.
• Support the Company in ensuring legal and regulatory obligations are appropriately managed.
• Assist with maintaining corporate records across multiple company entities.
