Job summary

Aqary Real Estate Investment And Development seeks a highly experienced Legal Advisor to join its legal team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on providing comprehensive legal guidance, drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements, and mitigating legal risks across departments.

Responsibilities include advising management, coordinating with external counsel, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining robust contract governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Legal qualification/licensing relevant to the jurisdiction is highly preferred.
• 3-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate/tech/real estate/SaaS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely legal advice to management and internal departments on a wide range of matters.
• Draft, review, amend, and negotiate various agreements including employment, service, vendor, partnership, NDA, consultancy and commercial agreements.
• Review contracts for risks and ensure compliance with UAE laws and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external lawyers, law firms, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Maintain and manage legal documents, notices, and correspondence.

We are looking for a highly experienced and qualified Legal Advisor to join our legal team and provide comprehensive legal advice and support to various departments across the company, with a strong focus on protecting the company legal and commercial interests and minimizing legal risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely legal advice to management and internal departments on a wide range of legal and business matters.
• Draft, review, amend, and negotiate various types of agreements, including:
  • Employment agreements
  • Service agreements
  • Vendor and supplier agreements
  • Partnership agreements
  • NDA and confidentiality agreements
  • Consultancy agreements
  • Commercial agreements
  • Technology and SaaS agreements
  • Real estate-related agreements
• Review contracts and identify potential legal, commercial, financial, and operational risks.
• Negotiate contractual terms with clients, suppliers, partners, employees, and third parties while protecting the companys interests.
• Ensure that contracts comply with applicable UAE laws, regulations, and internal company policies.
• Maintain and manage the companys legal documentation, contracts, notices, and correspondence.
• Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and advise management on their potential impact on the business.
• Support the company in matters related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, licensing, and commercial operations.
• Identify potential legal risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Assist in handling disputes, claims, complaints, and legal notices.
• Coordinate with external lawyers, law firms, government authorities, and regulatory bodies when required.
• Prepare legal notices, responses, memoranda, and official correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and provide clear summaries and recommendations to management.
• Support HR in employment-related legal matters, including employment contracts, disciplinary actions, terminations, and employee disputes.
• Support commercial and sales teams in reviewing customer and business agreements.
• Ensure proper authorization, approval, and execution of contracts in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain an organized contract database and monitor contract expiry dates, renewals, obligations, and critical deadlines.
• Develop and maintain standard legal templates, policies, procedures, and contractual clauses.
• Participate in business meetings when legal input or risk assessment is required.
• Provide legal guidance during the launch of new products, services, partnerships, and business initiatives.
• Protect the companys legal and commercial interests while supporting business growth.
• Perform other legal duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Legal qualification/licensing relevant to the jurisdiction is highly preferred.
• 3-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within a corporate, technology, real estate, SaaS, or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE commercial and corporate laws.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial transactions.
• Experience handling legal disputes and external counsel is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify contractual risks.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice rather than purely theoretical opinions.
