Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks a qualified Legal Counsel to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including leases and distribution agreements. You will support leasing transactions, ensure Ejari/Tawtheeq registrations, and monitor UAE regulatory developments.

The role requires 5-8 years of corporate legal experience with strong drafting, negotiation, and risk management skills, plus collaboration with Leasing, Finance, Administration and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in leasing and lease agreement management.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating distribution and commercial agency agreements.
• Good knowledge of UAE rental laws and commercial regulations.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in litigation coordination and legal risk management.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, including lease agreements, distribution agreements, commercial agency agreements, service contracts, MOAs, POAs, and NDAs.
• Provide legal support on leasing transactions and ensure timely lease renewals and registrations, including Ejari and Tawtheeq.
• Maintain a sound understanding of UAE rental laws, commercial laws, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise internal teams on compliance requirements.
• Identify contractual and operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on commercial and operational matters.
• Draft legal notices, formal correspondence, and pleadings, and coordinate with external counsel on litigation and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with Leasing, Finance, Administration, and Operations teams to support business requirements.
• Maintain accurate contract records and ensure effective document management using systems such as DocuSign, SharePoint, and YARDI.
• Assist the Legal head in developing legal policies, procedures, and management reports.
