Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced aerospace technician to lead hangar activities, maintenance, and integration tasks for unmanned systems. You will ensure compliance with safety and company standards while managing UAS inventory and documentation.

The role requires hands-on maintenance of UAS platforms, avionics, and propulsion systems, with collaboration across engineering, quality, logistics, and security teams to sustain operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a technician in aerospace, unmanned systems, or defense environments.
• Hands-on experience with UAS platforms, avionics, propulsion systems, and payload integration.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, quality systems, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all hangar activities comply with the Hangar Facility Manual and safety/security protocols.
• Manage UAS inventory, labeling, packaging, preservation, handling, and storage as per policies.
• Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on UAS platforms, payloads, and support equipment to maintain readiness and records.
• Support UAS integration, testing, and validation of avionics, propulsion, and communication systems under supervision.
• Maintain calibration equipment and conduct incoming inspections of parts/materials against specifications.
• Follow OEM manuals and participate in audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in the hangar and collaborate with engineering, quality, logistics, and security teams.
