Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Telecom Engineer to lead all telecom activities across FEED, Detailed Engineering and EPC phases. You will head the telecom team, coordinating with multiple disciplines to develop architecture, topology, layouts and datasheets for Oil & Gas telecom systems including fibre optics, CCTV, access control and IP telephony.
The role requires 15+ years in relevant fields, with 5+ years in a lead position and ADNOC project experience
Lead and manage all Telecommunication Engineering activities throughout FEED, Detailed Engineering and EPC project phases.
Lead the Telecom Engineering team and coordinate with Process, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, IT/OT, Civil, Mechanical and other disciplines.
Develop, review and approve Telecom System Architecture, Block Diagrams, Network Topology, Telecom Layouts, Equipment Specifications, Datasheets, Cable Schedules and Engineering Deliverables.
Provide technical leadership for the design and engineering of Oil & Gas telecom systems, including Fibre Optic, PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Radio, Wireless, IP Telephony, Structured Cabling and Communication Networks.
Review EPC contractor and vendor engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, ADNOC specifications and applicable international standards.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Design Reviews, Model Reviews and other project technical reviews where Telecom input is required.
Review technical proposals, participate in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and provide technical recommendations for telecom equipment and systems.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and EPC contractors for technical clarification, document review and resolution of engineering issues.
Ensure proper integration and interface of Telecom systems with ICSS, SCADA, CCTV, Security, Emergency Shutdown and other facility systems, as applicable.
Monitor engineering progress, deliverables, technical issues and project interfaces.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Telecom Engineers and Designers.
Ensure all Telecom Engineering activities comply with ADNOC requirements, project specifications, applicable codes and international standards.
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication / Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
15+ years of relevant Telecom Engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG or related industries.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Lead Telecom Engineer role.
ADNOC project experience and Approval is highly preferred.
Strong experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering / EPC projects.
Proven experience in major Oil & Gas projects with strong exposure to engineering design and project execution.
Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas Telecom systems, including Fibre Optic, PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, Radio/Wireless, IP Telephony, Structured Cabling and Communication Networks.
Experience in developing and reviewing Telecom System Architecture, Network Topology, Block Diagrams, Layouts, Datasheets, Specifications and Cable Schedules.
Good knowledge of ADNOC Engineering Standards/Specifications and applicable international codes and standards.
Experience in Technical Bid Evaluation, Vendor Document Review and Contractor Management.
Strong multidisciplinary coordination, technical leadership and communication skills.
